SLBDC provides a variety of inter related services in the areas of investment promotion and business counseling and information dissemination. Through business counseling and joint decision making, SLBDC helps clients to select suitable business opportunities and to develop these into viable enterprises. Using the services of appropriate consultants, project profiles, market/feasibility studies are carried out for client selected business ventures.

The Business Information Unit of the Sri Lanka Business Development Centre offers speedy access to business information relating to markets, technology, import/export data, production etc., to clients on request. SLBDC's Information Services are geared to meet the constant requests received from micro, small and medium enterprises and foreign investors to assist them, by supplying quality, timely, accurate, economical access to the latest business information through secondary sources.
